Fund for Shared Insight
Through their participatory grantmaking initiative Fund for Shared Insight is supporting 35 organizations exploring power-sharing and policy work around climate change and environmental justice. Two of the selected organizations are based in Puerto Rico: HASER Inc – La Colmena Cimarrona and ISER Caribe.
Triple S Foundation
The Triple-S Foundation contributes $150,000 to six initiatives to serve vulnerable populations with limited economic resources, who live alone, suffer from chronic conditions and need support to have food security and emotional well-being. The selected projects are: Esperanza para la Vejez (Salud), Fundación de Investigación Ciencia y Educación (Educación), Nuestra Escuela (Educación), Proyecto Plenitud (Ambiente), Prymed (Salud), and Waves Ahead (Salud).
Calls for Submissions
AARP
AARP opened its call for proposals to receive funds under the AARP Community Challenge 2022 program, offered to organizations developing “fast action” projects in their communities. These can range from improving public spaces, transportation, and housing, to promoting civic engagement, COVID recovery, and diversity and inclusion. The application deadline is March 22, 2022 at 5:00 PM Eastern Time.
Fundación Flamboyán
As part of commemorating the World Day of Reading, Flamboyán Foundation opened the competition ¡Todos a leer!… con mis maestros for K-3 teachers from the Puerto Rico Department of Education. Teachers can compete for up to $1,000 in prizes through submission of a video of them reading to their students.
