Foundation for Puerto Rico, alongside the economist Mario Marazzi, presented Puerto Rico’s classification within the Global Innovation Index as a starting point to evaluate ourselves as a country, using the same international indicators to measure capacity and innovative activity. The study measures four important points: Institutions; Human Capital and Research; Infrastructure, Market and Business Sophistication; Knowledge and Technology Production; and Creativity in Puerto Rico.
The study used the Global Innovation Index methodology to the case of Puerto Rico, with the parameters approved by the World Intellectual Property Organization.
