Virginia Quiñones
Operations Manager
Virginia has worked in the private and non-profit sector for the past 24 years leading financial, human resources, and accounting operations. She holds bachelor’s degrees in management and human resources. Her interest in learning and expanding knowledge motivates her to continue studies taking accounting, human resources, and project management courses to be informed and aware of new policies, processes, and labor legislation changes.
Her career began in the retail market, private banking, and automotive industry. Her commitment, execution, leadership, and desire to learn and grow professionally led Virginia to continue advancing positions at each employment. Throughout her career and in her personal life, Virginia has always been passionate about serving others as well as motivating and inspiring them to fight for what they believe in and achieve their goals.
After 12 years working in the private sector, she felt the need of pursuing other endeavors where she could not only learn and grow skillfully, but where she could serve, contribute, and encourage a social transformation for the underprivileged on our island. This was the beginning of her journey, back in 2012, where she began working at Sila M. Calderon Foundation. Throughout the years she served as Executive Assistant, Administration Officer, and Interim Finance & Administration Director. In 2016, Virginia began working closely with former governor of Puerto Rico, Sila M. Calderón as Executive Assistant, managing her office as well as other personal and business-related affairs. In 2024, Virginia joins Filantropía Puerto Rico as Operations Manager following her conviction of continuing working in a social and economic transformation of the underserved communities.
