Help for homeowners lacking property titles and denied FEMA assistance

Fundación Fondo de Acceso a la Justicia and the University of Puerto Rico Law School provided legal assistance to persons denied FEMA household assistance due to their lack of formal property titles. In total they helped over 1,000 individuals appeal to FEMA after being denied assistance and prepared 1,289 legal documents to support this process.
