Taller Salud is a feminist nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening women’s access to healthcare, reduce violence and promote economic development through education and activism.

The FORWARD Fund supported Taller Salud in their journey to complete their Hipatia project, which allowed them to introduce the discourse they have been promoting for years into tangible recommendations such as public policy focused on women, youth and disadvantaged communities. They also developed diverse efforts related to communications and public education, such as social media campaigns, that included the collaboration “Tumba el Acoso”. This campaign resulted in the approval of new legislation in Puerto Rico. For Tania Rosario, Executive Director of Taller Salud, the FORWARD Fund was a unique funding opportunity that finally allowed them to feel like their voices mattered.
