What Happens When 11 PSOs Come Together
Amazing things! Fund for Shared Insight is a national funder collaborative seeking to improve philanthropy by centering the people and communities at the heart of the work. They have sustained a funder-listening community of practice composed of 11 philanthropy-serving organizations, including us. After two years this community of practice is coming to an end, and as a last in-person meeting, we gathered in Savannah Georgia to connect and discuss how we could continue the work as the container of the community of practice finalizes.
We shared funder listening stories from our members to contribute to the Funder Listening Action Menu. A great tool with dozens of real-life examples highlights practices and policies that value lived expertise, and improve grantmaking. We got inspired by this collection of insights and ideas to spark the changes we want to see in our diverse collectives.
We worked on a roadmap for funders mapping all of the tools from all organizations participating. With the hopes that this will allow us to continue our work together and have the roadmap as a collective resource that represents our common purpose.
