Virginia Quiñones
Operations Manager
Virginia joined Filantropía Puerto Rico as Operations Manager in 2024 with 24 years of experience leading financial, human resources, and accounting operations in the private and non-profit sector. After 12 years working in the private sector, Virginia felt the need of pursuing endeavors where she could not only learn and grow skillfully, but where she could serve and contribute to a social transformation on our island. In 2012, she began working at the Sila M. Calderon Foundation, where she served as Executive Assistant, Administration Officer, and Interim Finance & Administration Director. In 2016, Virginia began working closely with former governor of Puerto Rico, Sila M. Calderón, as Executive Assistant, managing her office as well as other personal and business-related affairs.
Virginia holds a bachelor’s degree in management and human resources. Her interest in learning and staying informed about the most updated practices in her field, motivates her to keep taking continuing education courses in accounting, human resources, and project management regularly.
During her time off, Virginia enjoys spending time with family, supporting friends, and reading.
