As of March 31, 2020 and with limited COVID-19 testing capabilities, Puerto Rico has reported 239 confirmed cases and 8 deaths related to the coronavirus. The real picture is worrisome in a country with a very high index of poverty, inequality and a weak health system, all exacerbated by a recession, hurricanes and earthquakes.
Oxfam and Filantropía Puerto Rico have joined forces to bring you leaders from community groups and NGOs that will update us on what’s happening on the ground and the current needs of society’s most vulnerable. We will also hear ideas on how to help communities develop action plans that meet collective goals.
