Centro de Periodismo Investigativo created the website loschavosdemaria.com to oversee hurricane recovery processes. Findings from their journalists’ investigations inform and update the island’s databases and are consulted by community representatives, nonprofits, and citizens pursuing government transparency, accountability of elected officials, and citizen participation in recovery efforts. 

Additionally, loschavosdemaria.com was a finalist in the Special Site category of the Excellence in Journalism Awards of the Puerto Rico Chapter of the Overseas Press Club.
