Contratos en Ley – Promoting Public Procurement that is Transparent, Efficient, Just and Inclusive

This webinar is part of series about the impact of the grants awarded under the FORWARD Puerto Rico Fund, a pool of contributions raised by Filantropía Puerto Rico after Hurricanes Irma and Maria to support recovery efforts.

Transparency and real-time monitoring are increasingly essential components in public procurement anti-corruption efforts. Sembrando Sentido launched their ContratosEnLey.org platform to monitor and evaluate public procurement processes.

Take a look at the webinar to learn how this tool centralizes, integrates, and facilitates searching for public contracting data, while assessing these processes, offering recommendations, and showing tendencies that could result in inefficiencies and corruption risks.

With over 10 years of experience in governance, Issel M. Masses Ferrer seeks to support civil society efforts with more transparent, inclusive, and efficient governance practices. She is the founder and executive director of Sembrando Sentido, serves as a consultant for the World Bank, and holds a master’s degree in Public Policy from Duke University.

Juan José Jiménez Lizardi is a public policy analyst at Sembrando Sentido. He graduated from Duke University in 2019 with a bachelor’s in Literature and in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) and has occupied nonprofit roles in the fields of public interest law and political-economic analysis.
