Rey-Hernández, Ph.D. del Observatorio de Educación comparó las escuelas alianza (charter schools) en Nueva York y Luisiana, con las de Puerto Rico donde parecen ser una buena alternativa para barrios con altos niveles de pobreza. Su éxito se debe al apoyo comunitario, liderato y confiabilidad.
Compared to New York and Louisiana charter schools, in Puerto Rico this model seems like a good alternative for neighborhoods with high poverty levels. Their success responds to community support, leadership, and trustworthiness.
